Cool Collector # D.I.Y. Files

During my summerbreak, the D.I.Y. issue of the dutch trendmagazine Second Sight came out. In this issue you can find a interesting contribution by moi! It’s an article about how D.I.Y.trend is getting it’s comeback in youth culture and how the new D.I.Y trend is different from the D.I.Y trend during Punk in the late seventies and early eighties. It gives a explanation about why and how youngsters use symbolism of brands to create their own ‘individual’ style and reflects on how brands can use this trend instead of feel threatened by it!
