Happy new year!!!

The first post of 2011! I wish you all a very happy, beautiful and healthy and of course a cool year with lots and lots of luck!

The last few weeks I was really busy working. This was my first turn of the year as a independent trendwatcher and I learned a lot about the amount of questions, interviews and presentation-requests appearing in your mailbox when a new year is about to come! Which really gave me a lot of good inspiration for my new years solutions :) . But besides not having much time for my blog left, I finished all deadlines and had a great month in which I met a lot of interesting people with inspiring ideas and offers for 2011! One of the biggest things I've learned this year is if you want something, just say it and be open and clear about it, it might just happen! So to keep up this new wisdom of mine (and many others) I would like to reflect on 2010 achievements I am grateful and proud of and look forward to things I would like to realize in 2011.

my 2010 was the year...

- I Finished art academy cum laude in January
- I Moved into my ramshackle house which we totally rebuild first (with blood, sweat and tears)
- I was a extreme sucker for soccer (for about a month!)
- I also really started to hate octopuses and in the summer I ate lots and lots of calamaris to calm that anger down!
- I got more suspicious about catholics than I already was
- I started to happy four square gardening on my roof (also known as rooffarming)
- I started my own one-woman-company
- I realized I was totally addicted to social media
- I got nominated for the dutch 'drempelprice' , 'maaskantprice'
- I won a TWOTY award for upcomming trend-talent
- Learned lots about hair thanks to one of my favorite clients 'Toni & Guy'
- My blog got just over 10.000 guests!
- I went to Scandinavia to style my first men-editorial
- I was pronounced as the ' queen of cool'
- My styling was shown on a cover
- I shared a cover with Li Edelkoort
- I had my first article published
- I decided being fast is more useful than being tall, out with the heals in with the boots.
- I had my first public trendpresentation in the library of Amsterdam

2011 will be the year ..

- I will finally get my drivers license
- I will adopt two cats
- I will eat my first vegetables from my roofgarden
- I will finish and launch my new website
- I am going to travel more
- I will try to eat less meat
- I am going to say 'sorry' less
- I will try to stop being too cynical
- I am going to teach
- I will attract more commercial clients
- I will finish my new kitchen
- I am going to expand my trendtours
- I hope I will find some fresh bloggers to contribute
- I hope to find some more interesting advertisers
- I am going to think more local
- I am going to write more
- I am going to try being less insecure and enjoy stuff more; fuck it, rock it!
- And like every year: I am going to try to be more organized!
